He uses a personalized approach with an emphasis on tax minimization strategies when working with clients, meeting with each of them on a regular basis to ensure that their investments remain suitable for their objectives throughout changing personal and market conditions.

Fernando has earned the Private Wealth Advisor designation from Raymond James. This designation reflects his experience in managing the financial concerns of families, individuals and organizations of significant wealth, and his mastery of methods and resources necessary to support their expansive financial interests.

Offering a wide range of advanced planning and investment services, Fernando is committed to helping clients achieve their financial goals. Specializing in a holistic approach to their wealth management, Fernando helps his clients fulfill the vision of their legacy by working closely with their attorney and CPA to incorporate charitable giving, tax minimization and estate planning as part of a client’s overall investment plan.

Before joining Raymond James as a Financial Advisor in 2009, Fernando, worked for Smith Barney as a Senior Vice President for 12 years. He also practiced as a CPA with KPMG in the area of corporate taxation from 1993-1997. Fernando graduated from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1993 with a degree in accounting.

Fernando takes pride in community involvement and serves on the Morton Arboretum Advisory Board. He also served as a member of the Benet Academy Alumni Association board for multiple years and is a long-time member of the Philippine Medical Association of Chicago Foundation. He and his family are members of The Compass Church in Naperville, where he served several terms on the Elder Board.
